Wedding Photojournalism ‘The art of communicating by photographs’
I am a photojournalist at heart. For most of your Wedding day I will unobtrusively observe, capturing timeless and natural images in my own unique style.
Don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse of me perched up high or lying on the floor. This is all part of the way I create viewpoints and images that make your photographs extraordinary.
Portraiture ‘The art of creating a description of a person or persons’
I create fresh modern wedding portraiture by utilising professional posing and creative lighting techniques. Much of my inspiration comes from fashion posing and intimate romantic moments. I recommend leaving at least 30 to 40 minutes to get a fabulous selection of images, although I have worked with as little as 10 minutes. I understand that not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera and so I concentrate on having a fun time which helps you to relax.
I research your venue prior to your wedding day, checking lighting and searching for the best locations to produce truly gorgeous wedding portraiture come rain or shine.
At some point during the day I will take you to these special locations so that I can create lovely images that reflect how stunning you look and the depth of emotion between you. I produce stylish and original images that you will treasure for many years to come.
Formal (or informal) Group Portraiture
The formal images can be an important part of your day and many people expect to see a record of friends and family at your wedding. However many couples dread the ‘endless group shots’ and so often I will photograph weddings without any formal photography at all.
I am happy to shoot formals and so have compiled a list of recommended shots that are very manageable and can usually be completed swiftly. This list is meant as a guide only and so shots can be added and deleted as per individual requirements.

Your Wedding Schedule
As your wedding photographer I would need to know details of your schedule so that I could plan my coverage accordingly. I would always recommending giving yourself an extra 15 minutes at each stage of the day to ensure that everything runs smoothly and nothing feels rushed. The key event times I would like to know include bridal preparations, groom preparations, ceremony, formal photography, portraiture of couple, wedding breakfast, speeches, cake cutting, evening reception, first dance.
