Louise & Joe’s Milling Barn Wedding.

Set in the perfect English Countryside, Milling Barn is a very well kept secret. It is the perfect venue for intimate weddings. Also for weddings that might be considered a little more adventurous. There are many different options for ceremony’s, including an outdoor wooded area. And there are farm cottages available for the preparations.

Lousie and Joe were hoping for an outside ceremony but unfortunately the weather had different ideas. It was never the less a lovely day, with the ceremony held on the mezzanine level of the Barn. The weather brightened up immediately after the ceremony.

Louise had a beautiful pink hand sewn wedding dress shipped in from London. It looked truly amazing. She opted to wear a pair of Disney slippers as her wedding shoes and then had a pair of wellies, just in case it got muddy.  The sun beamed down onto the Milling Barn patio, perfect for the guests to enjoy. We explored the surrounding area for some quiet time with Bride & Groom Portraiture. The wedding breakfast was held in the old Milling Barn after everyone had congratulated the Bride & Groom and had a glass of champagne to celebrate.

Tom & Jill’s Missenden Abbey Wedding

Tom & Jill got married a few years ago at Missenden Abbey, one of my favourite wedding venues in Buckinghamshire. Missenden is a grand historical venue with lovely landscaped gardens set in the Buckinghamshire countryside . It is a venue that lends itself to holding stress free weddings as there are so many different rooms to spread out in. The preparations through to the evening reception were all held in this one location so there was no travel stress and the day just ‘flowed’. I would recommend checking the layout of Missenden Abbey. It is considered slightly quirky but then i like quirky! This wedding was apple themed, with chocolate Bride & Groom apples on top of the cake and a crisp pale green colour scheme that looked particularly spectacular on the bridesmaids.

Since then Tom & Jill have been busy and they now have a gorgeous little boy. Tom has finished studying and is a talented practicing Osteopath. If you ever need the services of an Osteopath please get in touch with Tom at Evolve Osteopathy. I offer commercial photography and Tom got in touch when he needed some fresh images for his new business website.

Just a few weeks ago I met Amy & Owen once again, this time for an engagement shoot. Amy I remember as being one of my most organised brides 🙂 with her wedding scheduled for May 2017 she is ‘on top’ of everything! They were both slightly nervous about the idea of their wedding photography and so wanted to have a mini experience of what they were in for. I believe in making the experience as fun and painless as possible and soon we were all giggling and enjoying the gardens on such a glorious day. I always think one of the key skills to being a wedding photographer is being able to ‘gel’ with your couple and to put them at ease. In only this way do I know i’m getting genuine photographs of my subject, without any of the on camera stiffness that I frequently see in images where the photographer hasn’t taken the time to have a chat and relax with their couple.
